Eve Starmap VR is an application for the Oculus Rift showing the galaxy of the popular science fiction MMORG Eve Online in virtual reality. The user is able to see over 7.500 solar systems and jump connections in 3D space and fly around freely to explore the galaxy. Additonal information about the solar systems like security status, regions or factions can be activated through an on-screen menu.

Eve Starmap VR is a non-commerical fan project for the Oculus Rift. It was developed with Unity 3D and uses game data from Eve Online.

The source code is open source and available on github.

You can fly around freely using either the keyboard or XBox 360 controller. A XBox controller is recommended for best user experience.

Additional options are availble from the on-screen menu (TAB-Key or START-Button).

You can always recenter your camera (R-Key or BACK-Button) and can quit the application with the ESC-Key.
